Frequently asked questions

Every foreigner can enter the territory of Poland with the help of:
– biometrics (90 days);
– visa;
– residence card;
– Polish citizenship;
– residence permit/permanent residence of another EU country;
– passport of another EU country and the Schengen area;
– passport of a country for which special conditions are provided for the possible duration of stay.
These are the most common documents for entry.

Visas are issued for various reasons and are divided into:
– work visas;
– student visas;
– humanitarian visas (for Belarusians);

There are also white passports, refugee entries, and so on, all of which are dealt with separately.

! EXCLUSIONS !
Currently, documents that expired during the hostilities are extended only for Ukrainian citizens.

The ways of legalization in Poland differ for citizens of different countries.

At present, there are differences in the approach to legalization depending on the country of which a person is a citizen:

1) Ukraine 2
) Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia 3
) All remaining nationalities except those listed above.

1) Ukraine.
For Ukrainian citizens, legalization has now been simplified, and they only need to notify us of the start of work. It is free of charge.

2) Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Armenia.
Citizens of these countries are currently subject to simplified legalization. They need to obtain a simplified work permit. It costs PLN 100 and is issued within 7 working days.
It is issued for an average of 3 years.

3) All remaining nationalities other than those listed above.

For citizens of all other countries, legalization is currently carried out according to a standard procedure.
To start working legally, such citizens need to obtain a type A work permit.
It costs PLN 100 and is issued for 12 months only. The production time is up to 3 months.
